Although overshadowed by their more successful fighter versions, the Nieuport company's various two-seater 'V-Strutters' performed ably in the early years of WW1. As well as service with their native France, examples were operated by the RFC and RNAS as well as the Aviation militaire beige while Macchi and Duks licence-built versions were employed respectively by Italian and Russian air arms.
In this DATAFILE, J M Bruce relates their story in depth for the first time, concentrating mainly on the Types 10 and 12, but not forgetting the uprated Nieuport 20. With many valuable close-ups of airframe and cockpit details, together with Ian Stair's 1:48 and 1:72 scale drawings, this book provides enthusiasts with an unmatched work of reference.
