Описание (About this book): The Warrior's development history dates back to 1967 when a proposal for the new armored personnel carrier’s requirement for the British Army was made. The FV510 series of Infantry Section Vehicles was developed to replace the aging FV432 series. The production of the Warrior began in January 1986 and the first production batch was formally handed over to the British Army in May 1987.
The original British Army requirement was for 1053 Warriors, but as a result of the 1993 “Options of Change”, the number of Warriors was reduced to 788, breaks down into FV510 Infantry Section Vehicles, FV511 Infantry Command Vehicles, FV512 Mechanized Combat Repair Vehicles, FV513 Mechanized Recovery Vehicles, FV514 Mechanzied Artillery Observation Vehicles and FV515 Battery Command Vehicles.
The author Carl Schulze brought us remarkable photo images of the different Warrior variants in action. Taken mainly in Germany and former Yugoslavia over the past 10 years, the images focused on the details differentiating the variants, camouflage and markings, and close-ups including interior shots.
