The Egyptian Military Museum was inaugurated in 1937 and is now in the El Gabal Citadel in the former El Haramlik Palace. This book presents some of the institution's main exhibits that span Egypt's history from ancient times to establishment of the Islamic regime, the Mameluks, and modern times with the reign of Mohammed Ali Pashi, followed by the resistance to British occupation and the post-World War II Arab-Israeli conflicts. Photographs depict arms and armor, military costume, and military technology.
